Our Water Footprint

This is a bar graph of our total water footprint, the average of water that we used during a year.
The first column shows the average of water that we used during a year in food. The second shows the quantity of domestic (washing machine, wash disher, the garden…). The third column is the water in the  industry for example, to manufacture objects. The last column indicates the total of the average that we consume during a year, 1074 cubic meter.

There are three water footprints:

*Green water footprint. Is water from precipitation that is stored on the floor and then it evaporates. It is important at the farmings.

*Blue water footprint. Is the water that we get from the underground , then the water evaporates. Then, the water is incorporated in one body and then it goes to another. The blue water footprint is at the irrigated agriculture, industry and in the domestic use.

*Blue water footprint. Is the quantity of sweet water necessary to assimilate pollutants to meet specific water quality standards.
